Answers to common questions

Can I bring my ADT security system with me from my old home or do I need a new one installed in my next location?

It’s easy to get ADT security at your new home – and you don’t need to worry about bringing equipment with you. For your convenience, an ADT service technician can install a new system to help meet your security needs at your new address.

How many days in advance should I call to alert ADT that I am moving?

You should call ADT as soon as you are thinking about moving to explore all of the options available to you. At a minimum, you should call at least 30 days prior to your anticipated moving date.

How can I obtain an Alarm Monitoring Certificate?

Many insurance companies offer discounts to homeowners who have a monitored security service. To download your Alarm Monitoring Certificate, log into MyADT.com and select the “Account” tab and then “Account Documents”. On the right-hand side, under the “Insurance Discount” section, select “Alarm Monitoring Certificate”.
